    Find the equation

    Find the equation of a line that passes through the points (-2,4) and (3,7/2)

    Find the equation of a line parallel to the line in the above problem that passes through (2,5)

    y = mx + c. Get the gradient m using m = \frac{y_2 - y_1}{x_2 - x_1}. Then substitute (-2, 4) into y = mx + c and solve for c.

    The parallel line has the same gradient m. Then substitute (2, 5) to get the value of c.
