Let woman started with $x money spent$\displaystyle = \frac{2}{3}x$money remaining$\displaystyle = x - \frac{2}{3}x=\frac{1}{3}x$money lost$\displaystyle = \frac{2}{3}\times \frac{1}{3}x = \frac{2}{9}x$money remaining after losing,$\displaystyle = \frac{1}{3}x-\frac{2}{9}x\displaystyle 4= \frac{1}{3}x-\frac{2}{9}x$now, can you finish it ??? 3. ## yes... Yes, I can now finish. Thank you. This is my BIGGEST problem. For some unknown reason, I have not been able to create the needed equation(s) to solve word problems. If I can somehow learn how to do that, math would become my best buddy.
