    Post Roots and Degrees

    determine an equation of degree 3 with roots x=3 +- i and x=-4
    Is this equation unique?

    thanks for help!i have no idea oh how to formulate an equation with those roots

    a cubic equation with roots r_1,~r_2,~r_3 can be written as a(x - r_1)(x - r_2)(x - r_3)

    this is not unique. because you can have different values for a
