    input log into TI83

    how to input Log(base)2 (x) into TI83 plus

    It can be done via change of base formula:

    \log_ax=\frac{\ln x}{\ln a}

    Thus, \log_2 x=\frac{\ln x}{\ln 2}

    \frac{\ln x}{\ln 2} is what you would put in the calculator.
