    average velocity

how would you do this problem. i know the equation for av. velocity is
    s2-s1/t2-t1. I keep getting -9.8

At a time t seconds after it is thrown up in the air, a tomato is at a height (in meters) of f(t)=−49t^2+60t+2 m.

What is the average velocity of the tomato during the first 5 seconds?

Assuming what you typed is correct, the tomato went ker-splat!

    I got 35.5 m/s. Take \frac {f(5) - f(0)} {5 - 0}.
