    Pre-Calculus - Why Does 2/T = (1-0)/(T-(T/2))...?

My teacher gave us a problem. Part of it includes finding the slope.

The coordinates given are: (T,1) and (T/2,0).

    I got y=((1-0)/(T-(T/2)))x-1

    Another answer is y=(2/T)x-1.

    Why Does 2/T = (1)/(T-(T/2))...?

P.S. I'd make a graph to show you guys. But I don't know how you make a graph on this forum...

    \frac{1}{T - \frac{T}{2}} = \frac{1}{\frac{2T}{2} - \frac{T}{2}} = \frac{1}{\frac{2T - T}{2}} = \frac{1}{\frac{T}{2}} = 1 \div \frac{T}{2} = 1 \times \frac{2}{T} = \frac{2}{T}.
