Thread: Quadratic word problems.

ok here it is
h(t) = -4.9t^2 + 9.8t

and

h(t) = -4.9t^2 + 24.3t - 19

K i need to use these on a graphing calc, (which i dont have) and find the
Xmin
Xmax
Xscl
Ymin
Ymax
Yscl

1Then i have to sketch a graph and find the vertex.
2Then gotta find Max-Height that the object will reach on the first equation and
3then find the max height of the second equation.
4then how high are they when they both meet.
5Then how high is the first object when the second one leaves.

Surely the first thing you need to do is obvious: Get a graphics calculator.

nah i figured someone on the forum would have a calc. graph calcs cost like 50-80 bucks, its cool though. We can bump this if its causing too much trouble

Can't you borrow one? You will probably need access to a graphics calculator again ......
