1. ## Absolute Value Inequalities

Hey all. Quick question as I have to get going...

the homework question is to plot the inequality of "the absolute value of x is less than or equal to negative four" .... Am I right in putting a dot at 4 and -4, and a line in between?

no, because the absolute value can't be negative!

So there is no value of x.

3. hmmmm... so this question is sort of like throwing 1 divided by zero at us.... There is no answer because you can't have a negative magnitude... Or.. maybe you can and this question is more like sqrt-1 where another means of finding an answer must be used.

$|n|\geq0$ for any value $n$
So $|x|\leq-4$ is impossible.
