Solve simultaneously:

y = x(x-3)
y =x-4
Solve for x: $\displaystyle x(x-3) = x - 4 \Rightarrow x^2 - 4x + 4 = 0$.

Then substitute the solution for x into y = x - 4 to get the value of y.
