Given $\displaystyle f(x) = \frac{{1 - x^2 }}{{1 + x^2 }}$ if $\displaystyle f(x) = f( - x)$ then the function is even. Is it?
I guess that's the right answer, but how do you KNOW if a function is odd, even, or neither? What do you use? thanks.
