For inequalities, you need to graph the function that would be indicated by an equality.

For example, for the first one, graph:

y = x

Since it's "less than or equals to" you draw the graph with a solid line, since values on that line are included in the solution set.

now, test a value on either side of this line (so, for instance, test (3,4) and (5,4)) whichever side satisfies the inequality (in this case the side upon which (5,4) lies) shade.
