4 0 1 + 1 7 6 = My answer is 5 -1 6
5 7 7 after using excel, is this right. thanks again for checking.

To add the matrices add corresponding elements so:

$ \left[ \begin{array}{ccc} {3}& {2}&{1}\\ {4}& {0}&{1} \end{array} \right]+ \left[ \begin{array}{ccc} {2}& {-3}&{5}\\ {1}& {7}&{6} \end{array} \right]= \left[ \begin{array}{ccc} {5}& {-1}&{6}\\ {5}& {7}&{7} \end{array} \right] $ ,

yes your answer is right.
