$\displaystyle f(x)=\frac{8}{x-8}+4$
There's a vertical asymptot at x=8 (this will be the equation of the asymptot actually...) and when x tends to infinity (both sides), there is an horizontal asymptot.
$\displaystyle \lim_{x \to \pm \infty} \frac{8}{8-x}+4=\dots \ ?$
