    Exponential Functions

    how do you graph f(x)= 2^x?
    how do you find the domain of f(x) = 7^x
    how do you find the range of y = 2^x -1

    looks just like e^x

    you do know what e^x looks like, right?

    how do you find the range of y = 2^x -1
    2^x has a horizontal asymptote at the x-axis. so the range for 2^x is (0, \infty)

    2^x - 1 means you shift 2^x down 1 unit. The asymptote shifts this much as well. so what is the range now

    i hope you mean 2^x - 1 as you typed, as opposed to 2^{x - 1}
