If you are going to enlarge a shape by a factor of 2, every point on the enlarged shape must be twice as far away from the centre of enlargement (CoE) than the original.
Draw a line from the CoE to one point on your shape. Then extend the line to twice its length. This should be where the enlarged point goes. Do this for all the points and you will get a shape twice as big!
