Distance Formula

What is the distance between the points http://homework.math.ucsb.edu/webwor...c617e5de71.png and http://homework.math.ucsb.edu/webwor...bfba8d9dd1.png

I keep getting the square root of 3990, which apparently is wrong?

The distance formula is:

$<br /> D = \sqrt {(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2}$

So plug in your numbers:

$<br /> D = \sqrt {(41)^2+(53)^2}$

$<br /> D = \sqrt {4490}$

$D=67$
