    Logarithmic

    Convert the following equations into logarithmic form:

    a. 9 = 4x

    b. 3 = 6y

    c. 5 = 7y

    d. X = 9y

    I have read on this topic but need help. Thanks in advance.

    Well, I'm going to assume that those are all powers and say that all you need is this basic conversion equation:

    a^x = y

    log_ay = x

    I'll do the first two, hopefully you can do the rest:

    a) 9 = 4^x

    The answer is:

    log_49 = x Using the conversion above.

    b) 3 = 6^y

    The answer is:

    log_63 = y

    I think you can do the other two.

    Keep in mind:

    log_ab = y only says "The power you put on a to get b is y."
