a gardener is considering a new design for his garden.he has a rectangle lAWN measuring 5m by 3m and wants to dig up part of it including a flower bed. he draws a plan of the lawn and flower bed on graph paper taking the bottom anf left hand edges as the axes and chooses the scale so that 1unit along each axis is representing 1m on the ground

    So you meant \frac{dy}{dx}=-2x+2

It makes a bit more sense now but y still does not have a minimum value.

Do you know what the graph of y=-x^2+2x+3 looks like?
