Can someonehelp me and solve this equation for the variable X:
    .
    Sin( a X - b) = c e^(dX)
    .
    Where a,b,c,d are constants.

I believe the best you'll be able to do is a numerical solution for $x$ if given numerical values of the constants a, b, c, and d.

Thanks for your reply, here is the exact equation:
    .
    Sin(21,600x -79.92) = .9846e^x/.52
    .
    or
    .
    Sin(21,600x - 79.92) =.9846e^1.923x

The Wolfram link I provided works fine ... don't know what the problem is on your end.

There's an infinite number of solutions ... which one do you want?

Just show me few examples for what you got.
What the values of X which full fill the above equation ????

    $x=-0.0512268$

    $x=-0.40003090107329375$

    $x=-12.699097184223396$

    $x=-13.59968707825247$

and as Skeeter has said infinitely many others.

    Re: Find out solution

I tried only the first one ( x=- .0512268 ) , on both sides of the equation, but unfortunately it gives 2 different values.
Did not full fill the equation.
    .
My advise .....Do not use such software to do your calculations... It is a joke.

you never specified how many digits of precision you wanted.

Has it occurred to you that there is no exact solution to this problem? In that case the only way to solve the problem is to "use such software." My advice: Listen to the people who are trying to help you.
