    Re: Question on Logarithms

    let $u = \log_3{x}$ ...

    $u^2 + 2u - 8 = 0$

    $(u+4)(u-2) = 0$

    $u = -4 \implies \log_3{x} = -4 \implies x = ?$

    $u = 2 \implies \log_3{x} = 2 \implies x = ?$
