Have you every taken a trigonometry course? Do you know how cos(\theta) is defined?

you need to research how to use trigonometric ratios in a right triangle ...

Trigonometry of right triangles. Complementary angles. Cofunctions.

    Thanks.
In particular, you may want to find out how $tan(\theta)$ is defined. By the way, that's a poorly designed figure.

By measuring by hand, side x is about 2.2 to 2.25 times the length of the vertical leg which has a length of 35.

That puts the length of side x somewhere between 77 and 80, inclusive. And the 47 degree angle should be closer

to 66 degrees. What I thought was 2 degrees is z degrees.
    Thanks from Torres9 and topsquark
