Alright, this one is kind of muzzling with my mind.

One endpoint of a line segment is A(4,6). The other endpoint is on the x-axis. Determine the coordinates of the endpoint on the x axis for the following slope.

I already figured out that since its on the x axis , the coordinates would already be (x,0)

yes, and recall, $\mbox{Slope } = \frac {y_2 - y_1}{x_2 - x_1}$

thus we have: $\mbox{Slope } = \frac 12 = \frac {6 - 0}{4 - x}$

now solve for $x$
