Slope Intercept Form
Hello everyone,

I am having some troubles remembering the application of slope intercept form. The question is:

Write the line in slope intercept form. Identify slope and y-intercept. Then graph.

-2x + 3y=9
I understand slope intercept form, but forget how to find slope and y-intercept.

I think the y intercept is 3, but am completely blank on the slope.:confused:

Thank you all very much

$-2x + 3y=9$

$3y=9+2x$

$y=\frac{2}{3}x + 3$

Y-intercept is three
Slope is two thirds

So, just to make sure I understand this, the next problem is 8x - y=2

8x - y=2

y = -2 - 8x

Slope= -8
Y int = -2

correct?
