    help with graphing

    how do you graph this?

    y = -2 log base 2 x + 1

    I know the negative would make the graph reflect and +1 would move it up one, but I am having some trouble with graphing this equation by plotting it.

    Would you convert log base 2, into 2^x and then it would be -2(2^x) x + 1

    Hello,

    how about using a table?
    Code:
    x      log(2)x     *(-2)      +1
    ------------------------------
    1/4    -2             4       5
    1/2    -1             2       3
    1       0             0       1
    2       1            -2      -1
    4       2            -4      -3
    8       3            -6      -5
