    finding equidistant point

    i need to find the poing on the x-axis that is equidistant from (10,4) and (6,2). is there a specific formula for this?

    The set of points in the plane equidistant from two points is the perpendicular bisector of the line segment determined by the points. Where does that line intersect the x-axis?
