    Polar Equation

    I have a problem on writing a polar equation as an equation in rectangular coordinates.

    The problem is r2 tan θ = 1

    In my attempts at the problem, I did:

    r2tanθ = 1
    r2(y/x) = 1
    (x2+y2)(y/x) = 1

    After my last step, I'm not sure what to do next.

    just multiply it out

    \left(x^2+y^2\right)\frac{y}{x}=1

    \left(x^2+y^2\right) y = x

    x^2y+y^3-x=0
