Thread: I need help on re-writing a Pre-Calculus exam I failed

Basically, I am in Pre-Calculus in college and my first exam I failed miserably. I received an 18% on it and I have very little understanding of anything going on in the course. I should also mention the entire class failed the first exam, so he is having us take the exam home, rewrite the problems so that they are similar but with different numbers and values. This is a lot harder than it sounds because I also have to ANSWER the questions that I write. It's really weird and I wish the professor would have just re-written a new test for us to take home and complete. Anyway, I have attached pages of my exam I took so that someone can prepare a new exam for me. It needs to be identical to the one I just took and each problem needs to be extremely similar to the one on the original exam.

I am not expecting you to also give me an answer to the each problem but if you DID, that would be greatly appreciated. In the end, i know understanding the material is important but passing this class is also just as an important. I'm even willing to pay someone for their time and effort because I greatly appreciate anyone helping me with this.

You are joking right? You expect us to write an entirely new exam for you, which you then intend to pass off as your own work, and ask us to answer it for you as well, just so that you can pass the class and understand the material later (you hope). Sorry but we aren't a homework service and we do not condone cheating or a poster passing off of anyone else's work as their own.

I think that if say, I did re-write on my own, I'd completely mess it up. I mean, I got an 18% on the test. Re-writing a test with working numbers/values seems like a lot to ask for from a student who is trying to learn the material. If I knew the material, I wouldn't have much trouble writing it..but I don't.

And I do not see what is wrong with me asking for new problems, with the template provided? Yea I would love for the answers to also be there but I don't expect it. I just want new problems and help on it. This is a math help forum correct? Yea you don't condone cheating and this is not cheating if all I'm asking for is new problems?

The rules here are that you are supposed to show some effort with whatever tasks you have been given and that you have to do your own work. If you show that you have made an attempt, what you have tried and where you are stuck, then we are able to give you some guidance.

Well, I HAVE tried. The .pdf files I have provided show that I have tried. I failed miserably and I'm at a point where I need help with it and that's why I came here. The professor asks that I re-write new questions that are identical to the ones from the exam. I'm actually attempting to do it right now but it's very hard and I need someone with much more knowledge to help me.
