[SOLVED] Making a picture of a pumpkin on a TI-83
I need to use piecewise functions, and I have no idea how to do this.

So far I have this for the round head of the pumpkin:

Y1= squareroot(40-Xsquared)
Y2= -squareroot(40-Xsquared)

window is just standard.

I need triangles for eyes and a nose. I need to know how to make short lines. Can anyone steer me in the right direction for formulas for this?

with a TI83 it is possible to draw pieces of a graphs by adding the terms of functions including their domains:

$y1(x)=(4)\underbrace{\underbrace{(2 and
$y2(x)=(-.5*x+5)(2

will give one eye of your pumpkin. You can only use the "<"-sign to determine the domain. You find this sign via catalog(=2ND 0) and going up until you reach the "<"-sign or 2ND MATH (="TEST") #5
