$\displaystyle \frac{x^2-4}{x-3}\cdot \frac{12-4x}{x+2}$

i ended up with (x+2)(X-2) . -4(x-3) then cancelled common terms and was left with -4(x-2)

I agree with your result, which I would write as 4(2 - x).
