Find the range of values of x for which 10 - f(x) is positive. Could somebody tell me how to do this? I've already done the hard bit... Also, f(x) = (x-2)^2 + 1

"Done the hard bit". Exactly which part is the hard bit?
Just plunge f(x) in to 10-f(x) and solve for x 10-((x-2)^2+ 1>0 (x-2)^2<9 -1<x<5
