Hey guys,

the task: Simplify. Write each as a single power. Do not evaluate.

(-Q)^2 (-Q)^5 (-Q)

my final answer would be = -Q^8

but I got the answer, that -Q^8 is not the final answer for this task.
It should be = -Q^8 = (-1*Q)^8 = (-1)^8 Q^8 = Q^8

Could somebody explain why?

so what about:

(-2)^7
-------
(-2)^3

=(-2)^(7-3=4) = +(2)^4
