The Task: Simplify using the exponent laws. Evaluate where possible.

1. (m^5)^4
= m^5*4
= m^20

2. (5r^4)^3
= 5^3 r^12
= 125r^12

3. (-2xy)^2 (3y^3)
= (-2^2 x^2 y^2) (3y^3)
= (4x^2) (3y^5)
= 12x^2 y^5

4. (-4n^3)^2
-------------
(3n)^5

= -4^2 n^6
------------
3^5 n^5

= 16 n^6
----------
243 n^5

= 16n
-----
243

5. -(3b^3)^2 (-8b^6)
-----------------------
-24b

-(3^2 b^6) (-8b^6)
-----------------------
-24b

Can somebody help me to simplify from that point? I do not know how to simplify further. Thanks.

6. (9x^2/y)^2 (y/3x)^3
(9^2 x^4/y^2) (y^3/3^3 x^3)

= 81xy/27

= 9xy/3

= 3xy

For the fifth task you can simplify further $\frac{-(3^2 b^6) (-8b^6)}{-24b}=\frac{(-1)^2.3^2.8. b^{12}}{(-1)3.8b}=-3b^{11}$
