# Math Help - natural logs

1. ## natural logs

Hello all, i have a question that i don't understand and i would like some help with.

The first part of the question is this, (which i can do)

If lnx = 3.5, find the value of x

If lnx = 4.9, find the value of x

If lnx = 123, find the value of x

If lnx = 256, find the value of x

I did these like this for example, e^3.5 = x
x = e^3.5 = 33.12 ...

The second part of the question which i need help with is: For each of the values found, calculate e^x and comment on your findings.

After calculating all the values i can't find any relationships between the numbers, any ideas?
Thank you

The only comment I can come up with is that these are really, really big numbers!

You sat that you can calculate $e^3.5$= 33.12, why could you not find $e^{4.9}= 134.29$, $e^{123}=2.62 \times 10^{53}$, and $e^{256}= 1.511\times 10^{111}$

I think the OP did exactly that. The question is to comment on the calculation of e raised to those results: $e^{(e^{3.5})}$, $e^{(e^{4.9})}$, etc.
