Thread: Graphing trig functions

Im sort ofmlost on thelabeling part

The equations says y=3sin1/2x

I have to clearly state the period and amplitude

The period is 4pi, right?

How would i go about graphing this? How do i start labeling the graph along the x-axis, i only know how to label a 2pi graph....so lost.

I do, but i dont know how to use it to get the information i need because it doesnt show the graph in pi form, it shows it in decimals. Does the ti-89 or any other calc show it in pi form?

Where 3 is the amplitude and 2pi / 1/2 is 4pi period. Do i have the period right?

have you looked at the graph I posted? note the values on the x-axis.
