    Friendly Assistance necessary.

    Hi, I'm trying to assist with math HW. Although I've taken Calc many moons ago, I'm struggling to assist with a problem from a pre-cal class, although the question isn't very relevant to calc. I'm not sure what its asking, or how to solve it. A breakdown would be appreciated.

    Re: emergency assistance necessary

    y_0=a(-h)^2+b(-h)+c

    You can also get y_1 and y_2 in the same way.

    Substitute expressions in terms of a,b,c and h for y_0, y_1 and y_2 into the second area formula and you will get the first area formula.
