angle between the sun ray and the hill = 30

angle between the tree and the down side of the hill = 112

angle between the top of the tree and the sun ray = 180 - (30+112) = 38

hillside distance = 215

use the law of sines to find tree height

sketch a horizontal line that passes through the bottom of the tree ... what do you remember about alternate-interior angles?
