I was solving this equation: $\displaystyle (3 - i)x - 6 = (3+1)x - 4i$

These are my steps:

$\displaystyle (3 - i)x - 6 = (3+i)x - 4i$

$\displaystyle \not{3}\not{x} - ix - 6 = \not{3}\not{x} + ix - 4i$

$\displaystyle 4i - 6 = 2ix\begin{cases} & \text{ / } :2i \end{cases}$

$\displaystyle x = \frac{4i}{2i} - \frac{6}{2i}$

$\displaystyle x = 2 - \frac{3}{i}$

But in my teachers book, it's $\displaystyle x = 2+3i$

Can someone help to solve this task?

Thanks,

Flamuri
