    Red face Complex Numbers [Equation]

    I was solving this equation: (3 - i)x - 6 = (3+1)x - 4i
    These are my steps:

    (3 - i)x - 6 = (3+i)x - 4i
    \not{3}\not{x} - ix - 6 = \not{3}\not{x} + ix - 4i
    4i - 6 = 2ix\begin{cases} & \text{ / } :2i \end{cases}
    x = \frac{4i}{2i} - \frac{6}{2i}

    x = 2 - \frac{3}{i}

    But in my teachers book, it's x = 2+3i
    Can someone help to solve this task?

    That is simple to answer.

    \frac{-3}{i}=3i.
