    Natural Logs

    Hi!
    I was wondering if anyone could help me solve for x in this problem:

    (e^x+e^-x)/(3)=4

    Thanks!

    e^x + e^{-x} = 12 \mbox{ and let }y=e^{-x}

    y+\frac{1}{y} = 12 \implies y^2 + 1 = 12 y

    Quadradic equation, which you can solve.
