    No big deal here

    25(x + 1)^2 = 16

    \Rightarrow (x + 1)^2 = \frac {16}{25}

    \Rightarrow x + 1 = \pm \sqrt { \frac {16}{25}}

    \Rightarrow x = -1 \pm \sqrt { \frac {16}{25}}

    Just plug that into your calculator to get the decimal values

    No need to use a calculator since sqrt(16/25)=4/5=0.8
