No big deal here

$25(x + 1)^2 = 16$

$\Rightarrow (x + 1)^2 = \frac {16}{25}$

$\Rightarrow x + 1 = \pm \sqrt { \frac {16}{25}}$

$\Rightarrow x = -1 \pm \sqrt { \frac {16}{25}}$

Just plug that into your calculator to get the decimal values

No need to use a calculator since sqrt(16/25)=4/5=0.8
