Rounding Figures(Prices of shares) to the nearest sixteenth!

1.How do we round prices to the nearest sixteenth?-what's the essence of this rounding?

2.How can we then get prices(rounded to the nearest sixteenth) to show as fractions in sixteenths.

1/2= 0.5, 1/4= 0.5/2= 0.25, 1/8= 0.25/2= 0.125, 1/16= 0.125/2= .0625

1/16= 0.0625

2/16= 0.125

3/16= 0.1875

4/16= 0.25

5/16= 0.3125

6/16= 0.375

7/16= 0.4375

8/16= 0.5

9/16= 0.5675

10/16= 0.625

11/16= 0.6875

12/16= 0.75

13/16= 0.8125

14/16= 0.875

15/16= 0.9375

Round to the nearest of those decimals and replace by the fraction.

Divide the fractional part of your number by 1/16 = 0.0625 and round the result to the nearest integer. That would be the number of sixteenth.

I am not sure I understand the question. E.g., 2 3/16 = 35/16.

The prices in the Excel sheet are already rounded to the nearest sixteenth. What is your question?
