    Graph help please

    The figure shows the graph of: f(x) = (6x-10)/(2x-a)

    Find the value of a.

    Choices are 2, 3, 4, or 6

    the graph is undefined when x = 2 as we can see from the picture. it means the denominator is zero when x = 2

    so we must have 2(2) - a = 0

    => a = 4

    At x=2 we have a vertical asymptote so the denoimator is zero there. Hence 2x - a =0 at x=2 thus 4 - a =0 hence a =4
