On the first problem, you're correct so far. Don't you have a quadratic there? I mean, $\displaystyle e^{2}$ is just a number, the same as $\displaystyle 2.$
As for the second problem, what is the normal method of inverting a function? What do you get when you try that?

I got it after the quadratic tip (x=sqrt(e^2+1)+1 and then the same for the inverse but with y instead of 2)
