    Complex numbers

    Express (2i) * (3 - i) in the forms (a,b) and a+bi

    (2i) * (3 - i)

    So I've done (2*3)i - (2*1i)^2
    = 6i - (-1) * 2 *1
    = 6i + 1 * 2 * 1
    = 6i + 2

Is this correct? Or am I wrong because it has to be in the form a + bi not bi + a. And is (a,b) just (2,6)?

(2,6) and 2 + 6i to be precise, but this should not matter at the level where you learn complex numbers.
