    square root and squares

    Hello, I know that sqrt(x^2) = +/- x
    is (sqrt(x))^2 the same thing or is the answer just x.

    The statement in red in incorrect.
    \sqrt{x^2}\not=\pm x

    This is true \sqrt{x^2}=|x|

    thanks. so does (sqrt(x))^2 = |x| or just x ?

    (\sqrt{x})^2=x because x must be non-negative.
