    Testing for Eveness and Oddness---- Graphical Solution

    Hello, I know this problem could be done Algebraically however the problem asks us to use a calculator.

    "Use a graphing utility to graph the function and determine whether its even, odd, or neither."

    f(x)= 3x-2

    I know how to graph it, but I don't exactly understand what I'm looking for once it's graphed to determine whether or not it is even, odd, or neither.

    the graph of an even function is symmetric to the y-axis. (the graph folds onto itself with the fold crease on the y-axis)

    the graph of an odd function is symmetric to the origin. (invert the entire graph and it looks the same)

    if a function has no such symmetry as described above, then it is a "neither" function.
