Hello there:

Can anybody help me Graph and find the Domain and Range of these:

f(x) = [x + 1/2] what is the graph of this step function

g(x)= 2 - x

The domain of the floor function is all real numbers, and the range will only be the set of integers.

In order to graph the function, remember that if $f$ is the floor function, then for $x = a.b$ for $a$ the integer portion of x and $b$ the decimal portion of x, $f(x) = a$.

g(x) = 2 – x f(x)
g(x) = 2 – xn where, n≤x<n+1
if
n = 2 2 -2x , 2≤x<3
n = 1 2 –x , 1≤x<2
n = 0 2 , 0≤x<1
n = -1 2 + x , -1≤x<0
n = -2 2 +2x , -2≤x<-1
