I know it sounds funny but please help i got headache from this equation even thou i know its easy.

Write down the equation of a line which is
a) parallel to y=4x+2, and passes through 4 on the y- axis
b) parallel to y=10x -5, passes through -1 on the y-axis

Headaches are bad so i'll help you out with the first question and you can apply the same method to the second.

We seek a line in the form of . We need to find m (the gradient) and c (the y-intercept) .

The gradient in the given equation is and as the line we are after is parallel we can simply substitute this value into the new line giving



Now passing through 4 on the y-axis means the y-intercept is 4 so we can substitute that in for c and we are finished
