    Minimum Perimeter

    I am having trouble finding the minimum perimeter of a rectangle with 3 enclosed sides. I am given the area of the rectangle which is 180m^2. I have no clue how to solve this but here is my attempt
    Isolate w, b/c the length of the rectangle would be twice the width when enclosing 3 sides

    A=lw
    180=lw

    180=lw
    l l
    w=180
    l
    sub into the formula for area of a rectangle

    P=2(l+w)
    P=2(l+180)
    l
    i dont know how to solve such an equation my knowledge of order of operations

    Monroe wants to build a 180ft^2 deck against his house. He has to enclose all sides of the deck except the one against his house. What is the minimum length of railing needed?
