    Domain and range.

    What is the domain and range of the following equation?
    7y-2x=-5

    The best way to deal with domain and range questions is to start with all the real numbers and then eliminate certain numbers. Common ones are


    No dividing by 0
    Anything under a square root must not be negative
    Anything inside a logarithm must be greater than 0

    Yuo're meant to recognise this equation as defining a line. And you should know what the domain and range of a line are ....
